Student Council

Members of the Shafer Middle School Sutdent Council work diligently to represent the student body. Membership is determined by elections held during the fall for 6th grade and spring for 7th and 8th grade.

Student Council members promote leadership, initiative, and self-motivation. Members are expected to maintain high standards of scholarship and citizenship.

Each year, members of the council establish goals to better the school and serve the community. The Student Council sponsors dances and partners with the National Junior Honor Society to organize a fundraiser to assist the school in purchasing much needed items.

Student Council meetings are held after once a month after school from 2:45-3:30 pm. Occasionally, a special meeting may need to be held before school.
